Product description
Seresto is an Elanco medicated antiparasitic collar for cats. Each grey, odourless collar is 38 cm long and contains 1.25 g of imidacloprid and 0.56 g of flumethrin.
It is intended for cats with, or at risk of, a mixed flea and tick infestation. It treats flea infestations and helps prevent flea reinfestation for 7–8 months. It also protects the animal’s surroundings from the development of flea larvae for 10 weeks.
Against ticks, Seresto provides acaricidal and repellent activity from 2 days after application for up to 8 months. It is effective against tick larvae, nymphs and adults.
Its Polymer Matrix system releases imidacloprid and flumethrin slowly and continuously over the cat’s skin and coat. The collar is water resistant, although prolonged or intense exposure to water and frequent shampooing should be avoided because they may shorten the duration of activity.
Fit one collar around the cat’s neck, leaving enough space to insert two fingers between the collar and the neck. Pass the excess through the loop and cut off any portion extending more than 2 cm. The collar should be worn continuously for the eight-month protection period and adjusted regularly, especially in growing kittens.

Important information
Do not use in kittens younger than 10 weeks or in animals with known hypersensitivity to imidacloprid, flumethrin or any of the collar’s excipients.
Ticks already present before treatment may remain attached and visible for up to 48 hours. Remove existing ticks when the collar is applied. Protection against new tick infestations begins within two days; transmission of tick-borne diseases cannot be completely excluded.
Use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended because safety has not been established in the target species.
Keep the collar in its original packaging until use. Do not allow small children to play with it or put it in their mouth. Animals wearing the collar should not sleep in the same bed as their owners, particularly children. Wash hands with cold water after fitting the collar.
In case of persistent skin irritation, unusual behaviour, vomiting, diarrhoea or other suspected adverse reactions, remove the collar when appropriate and contact a veterinarian. Dispose of the collar and any cut-off pieces in accordance with the package leaflet.
