Product description
Advantix is an Elanco veterinary spot-on medicine for dogs weighing over 4 kg and up to 10 kg. The pack contains 4 single-dose pipettes of 1 ml, each containing 100 mg imidacloprid and 500 mg permethrin.
It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations and for the treatment of biting lice. Fleas already present on the dog are killed within one day, while one application prevents further flea infestation for four weeks.
Advantix has acaricidal and repellent activity against ticks and a repellent anti-feeding action against mosquitoes, sand flies and stable flies. Its action against vectors helps reduce the risk of transmission of diseases including canine leishmaniosis and ehrlichiosis; protection duration varies according to the parasite species.
For dogs up to 10 kg, part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip directly on intact skin and squeeze firmly several times until the entire contents have been emptied in one spot.
Use one complete pipette appropriate for the dog’s body weight. Do not divide a pipette between animals. For external use only and on intact skin. Always read and follow the package leaflet before use.

Do not use in puppies younger than 7 weeks or weighing less than 1.5 kg, in cats, or in animals with hypersensitivity to the active substances or any excipient. Consult a veterinarian before use in sick or debilitated dogs.
Extremely toxic to cats and potentially fatal. Keep treated dogs away from cats until the application site is completely dry and ensure cats cannot lick the treated area. In case of accidental exposure, contact a veterinarian immediately.
Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mouth. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Keep children from handling the treated dog until the application site is dry, and do not allow recently treated dogs to sleep with people, especially children.
Prevent treated dogs from entering surface water for at least 48 hours after treatment. Avoid intense or prolonged exposure to water, which may reduce the persistence of efficacy.

Quali precauzioni bisogna adottare in presenza di bambini?
Tenere il prodotto fuori dalla vista e dalla portata dei bambini. I bambini non devono toccare il cane fino alla completa asciugatura del sito di applicazione. È inoltre opportuno evitare che il cane appena trattato dorma con le persone, soprattutto con i bambini.
Si può utilizzare insieme ad altri antiparassitari?
Non associare autonomamente Advantix ad altri trattamenti antiparassitari. In presenza di altre terapie, patologie, gravidanza o allattamento, chiedere prima il parere del medico veterinario.
Cosa bisogna fare in caso di reazioni indesiderate?
In alcuni casi possono comparire reazioni cutanee transitorie nel punto di applicazione o altri effetti indesiderati. In presenza di sintomi persistenti o importanti, impedire che il cane lecchi la zona e contattare il medico veterinario, mostrando la confezione o il foglietto illustrativo.
Come si conserva e si smaltisce il prodotto?
Conservare le pipette nella confezione originale e fuori dalla vista e dalla portata dei bambini. Non disperdere il prodotto o le pipette vuote nell’ambiente e smaltirli seguendo le indicazioni del foglietto illustrativo e le disposizioni locali applicabili.
