AdTab 900 mg is an oral veterinary medicinal product in flavoured chewable tablets, intended for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs weighing more than 22 kg and up to 45 kg.
Each tablet contains 900 mg of lotilaner and provides immediate and persistent flea- and tick-killing activity for one month. Fleas and ticks must attach to the dog and begin feeding in order to be exposed to the active substance.
The pack contains 3 chewable tablets, corresponding to three monthly treatments. Give one tablet once a month, with food or after a meal, following the package leaflet and the veterinarian’s instructions.
Determine the dog’s body weight as accurately as possible before administration. For dogs weighing more than 45 kg, an appropriate combination of the available tablet strengths is required to obtain the recommended dose.
Important information
Veterinary medicinal product for oral use. Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to lotilaner or to any of the excipients. Read the package leaflet carefully before administration; incorrect use may be harmful.
Safety and efficacy data were obtained in dogs and puppies at least 8 weeks old and weighing at least 1.3 kg. Consult a veterinarian before treating younger or lighter puppies and before use during pregnancy, lactation or in breeding dogs.
Wash hands after handling the product and keep it out of the sight and reach of children. In case of adverse reactions, suspected lack of efficacy or accidental ingestion, contact a veterinarian or doctor promptly and show the leaflet or label.

Come si somministra correttamente la compressa?
La compressa deve essere somministrata per via orale con il cibo o dopo il pasto. Può essere offerta direttamente dalla mano oppure inserita nell’alimento. Controllare sempre che il cane abbia assunto l’intera compressa.
Quante compresse contiene la confezione?
La confezione contiene 3 compresse masticabili. Somministrando una compressa al mese, la confezione corrisponde a tre trattamenti mensili.

Sì. AdTab è una compressa masticabile aromatizzata e appetibile, studiata per facilitare la somministrazione. Deve comunque essere somministrata con il cibo o dopo il pasto.

Perché posso vedere ancora una zecca sul cane?
Le zecche possono salire sul mantello anche dopo il trattamento e devono iniziare ad alimentarsi per essere esposte al principio attivo. È quindi possibile vedere una zecca ancora attaccata ma già morta, soprattutto nelle aree con un’elevata presenza di parassiti.
AdTab aiuta anche a controllare le pulci presenti in casa?
AdTab elimina le pulci che infestano il cane prima che possano deporre le uova, contribuendo a interrompere il loro ciclo vitale nelle aree frequentate dall’animale. In caso di infestazione importante è comunque necessario trattare e pulire regolarmente cucce, tappeti, tessuti e zone di riposo con prodotti ambientali appropriati.
Si può usare insieme ad altri medicinali veterinari?
Negli studi clinici sul campo non sono state osservate interazioni tra il lotilaner e i medicinali veterinari utilizzati abitualmente. Prima di associare più trattamenti, soprattutto in presenza di patologie o terapie in corso, è comunque consigliabile consultare il medico veterinario.
Può essere somministrato durante gravidanza o allattamento?
La sicurezza di AdTab durante la gravidanza, l’allattamento e nei cani destinati alla riproduzione non è stata stabilita. In questi casi è necessario consultare il medico veterinario prima dell’uso.
Quali effetti indesiderati possono verificarsi?
Sono stati segnalati molto raramente disturbi come diarrea, vomito, riduzione dell’appetito, letargia, difficoltà di coordinazione, tremori o convulsioni. In presenza di effetti indesiderati, oppure se si ritiene che il medicinale non abbia funzionato, rivolgersi al medico veterinario.
Come deve essere conservato AdTab?
Il prodotto non richiede particolari condizioni di conservazione. Deve essere tenuto fuori dalla vista e dalla portata dei bambini e non deve essere utilizzato dopo la data di scadenza riportata sulla confezione e sul blister.
