Product description
Scalibor Protector Band is an MSD Animal Health medicated antiparasitic collar for small and medium-sized dogs. The white collar measures 48 cm and contains 0.760 g of deltamethrin.
It helps prevent tick infestations for up to 6 months and flea infestations for up to 4 months. It also provides a repellent effect against adult mosquitoes for up to 6 months and against sand flies for up to 12 months.
Its anti-feeding action against sand flies helps reduce the risk of transmission of canine visceral leishmaniosis. Scalibor may therefore be used as part of a prevention programme against infection by Leishmania infantum.
Fit one collar around the dog’s neck without tightening it excessively. Cut off the excess length, leaving approximately 5 cm beyond the buckle. Full activity is reached after approximately one week, so application is recommended one week before exposure to an infested environment.
Use one collar per dog. Read and follow the package leaflet carefully before use.

Do not use in puppies younger than 7 weeks, in cats, in dogs with known hypersensitivity to deltamethrin, or in animals with extensive skin lesions.
If marked local irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, remove the collar immediately. Wash hands with cold water and soap after handling the collar. Do not allow children to play with or put the collar in their mouth, and avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.
Treated dogs should not sleep in contact with people, particularly children. Remove the collar before bathing or swimming because the active substance is harmful to fish and other aquatic organisms.
Do not allow the dog to enter water during the first 5 days after the collar has been fitted.
